True Love

 

This is Humphrey.  He is Henry's sweet lovey.  He is a member of our family.  He is threadbare.

He stinks.

 

I can count on one hand the times Henry has requested that Humphrey get a bath.

Today was one of those days.

 

We love you Humphrey... and we are glad you no longer stink!

This sweet boy is 5 years old today!  Where did the years go?

Today is also the 5th birthday of Henry's new friend Woodensley.

Woodensley (the picture he's holding) lives in Haiti and shares the same birthday!

 

Henry is so excited to have his very own friend to exchange letters and pictures.

Henry attended his first Vacation Bible School this summer.  He had a really great time and is looking forward to next year.Rowdy was too young and was disappointed that he couldn't go.

But, every night when we dropped Henry off  he would tell us that next year he is gonna be a big boy!

Henry loves to color and draw.  We bought a book called I Can Draw People which has step by step instructions for drawing people.  Today he chose to draw a cowboy.

Power Rangers

Henry scored this Christmas. Not only did he get a Power Ranger action figure with a motorcycle from Nana, but Aunt Wendy made him a Cheetah Ranger doll. It's arms and legs move and bend to do karate moves just like the real Rangers. Aunt Wendy is pretty amazing! Cheetah Ranger has joined Humphrey as a bedtime necessity.

Henry's 4!!!

My sweet Henry is 4!!

He designed and decorated his own cake.

He is a sweet boy, an excellent big brother, and I am so proud of him.

Farmer Henry

Grandmother planted us a strawberry patch in our yard this spring. Rowdy and I usually eat them as soon as we pick them. These few made it in the house. We also have blueberries and a tomato plant. We have so much fun tending our "farm" that we are planning on planting a vegetable garden next year. Wish us luck.

The Swing Set

My Poopah and Grandmother built me, and Rowdy, a swing set for my birthday!! I helped and even drove a few nails. Momma will have to post some pictures of us playing on the finished product. It took us 2 days to build it and Momma 2 months to put the pictures on the computer. Goodness.

Watermelon Update

Some of you may recall that I planted watermelons this spring.

My plants were gorgeous, I watered them like I should, and I didn't get to eat a single melon.

Something kept eating my watermelons!!

As soon as the watermelons would start to get big enough to get excited about they would disappear from our patch or there would be chomped melon strewn about.

Such a bummer!

This cutie pie melon was not ripe but it's vine was chomped off, so we brought it in to look at for a few days.

Oh well. We shall give it another go next year.

I got a really cool card for my birthday!

I'm 3!!

I turned 3 a few weeks ago.

Andy and I shared a party at my house. My Nana made me a Toy Story cake. Aunt JuJu made Andy a Lightning McQueen cake.

Rowdy helped me open my presents.

Thanks to all my family and friends who came and for the wonderful gifts.
